The Company Seeks the Services of Artisan Plant Fitter x1

Job Purpose

To manage, inspect, maintain and repair plant equipment (machinery) effectively, efficiently and safely.

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

1. Ensure optimum plant/equipment availability
2. Ensure strict adherence to statutory and domestic regulations particularly those relating to safe working practices in order to prevent injury to a person and damage to company machinery.
3. Adhere to all the Health, Safety and Environment Standards/Policies and ensure compliance at all times
4. Keep equipment safe to prolong service life
5. Conduct planned and ad hoc plant maintenance as well as repairs to plant and equipment in accordance with the job card instructions and as per drawing.
6. Utilise correct materials and consumables as per the specifications
7. Ensure that lock out tag out procedures are followed at all times where applicable
8. Adhere to all other assignments given that are lawful and fair.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

1. Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
2. Craft Certificate in Plant Fitting
3. A Technician’s Certificate in Plant Fitting will be an added advantage
4. Member of Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
5. Good problem-solving skills
6. Fluent in both written and spoken English
7. Must be physically fit and with the ability to work with the relevant tools

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
