The Company Seeks the Services of a Draughtsman Mechanical x 1
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment and infrastructure.
• Provide details on component descriptions.
• Resolve design problems.
• Review and analyse specifications.
• Draft technical details.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
• Draw in minute details of structures.
• Use Computer Aided Design (CAD) and Drafting systems to prepare drawings.
• Create and store drawings electronically.
• Prepare variations of design.
• Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans/sections and specifications.
• Makes any necessary changes to existing models or drawings.
• Perform site measurements both on surface and underground for developing drawings (measuring from heights)
• Prepare material take off.
• Prepare shop detail drawings.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Certificate in Draughting.
• Must be computer literacy.
• Must be competent in AutoCAD.
• 5 years working experience.
• All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
