The Company Seeks the Services of a Winding Engine Driver – Full Competence Certificate x6
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Operating controls and driving alternating and direct current drum winders
- Read through the logbook and sign before and after the shift in accordance with the Statutory and Domestic Safety Regulations
- Checking and testing equipment/safety devices within two (2) hours of taking charge of the shift
- Receiving and interpreting bell signals from the Cage Tender, On-setter, Shipman, Banksman and maintenance crew
- Observing depth indicator, amp & voltmeters and rope speed indicators
- Checking constantly at control panel readings of the winder
- Following established Safety Procedures and Practices
- Ferrying personnel, materials and rock to and from underground
- Regulating speed when approaching destination to avoid injury to personnel and safeguard company property
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
- Certificate of Competence in Wind Engine Driving
- First Aid Certificate
- Good Communication Skills
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
- Team Player with good Problem-solving Skills
- All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
