The Company Seeks the Services of a Stope Blaster x20
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Be in charge of all stope charging and blasting operations in his area of appointment
- Making the area safe where danger may arise due to mining operations
- Monitoring of blasts, to ensure it meets expectations
- Observe and enforce the mining and explosives regulations
- Be in charge of the safety and health of all employees and equipment under his custody
- To perform any other related duties assigned from time to time by his supervisor
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
- Valid Zambian Blasting license for all mining operations
- Valid first Aid certificate
- Must have worked not less than 2 years’ experience in the mining industry preferably underground, charging
- Must have worked not less than 2 years’ experience in the mining industry preferably underground, charging and blasting of stopes
- All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
