Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

• Carrying out maintenance repairs, installation, calibration, correction and integration of various types of plant instrumentation equipment.
• Repairing or replacing control devices such as switches, photocells, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contactors, transmitters as may be required.
• Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
• Installing control and measurement instruments on existing or new plant equipment as needed.
• Utilizing test equipment to maintain and calibrate equipment to performance standards.
• Inspecting plant instrumentation, and control equipment.
• Participating in plant safety, health and environmental programs and observe safety company standards.
• Ensuring adherence to the Company’s planned and preventative maintenance schedules and procedures.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics.
• Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining or process plant.
• Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
• Must have at least 2 years of experience.
• All academic and profession qualification should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
