The Company Seeks the Services of a Corporate Affairs Officer- Community Liaison x2

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Initiate/implement the agreed social investment programmes in the identified areas of need in the surrounding communities.
  • Identify key stakeholders for purposes of establishing a directory and for continuous strategic engagement on matters of mutual interest.
  • Represent Mopani at community stakeholder meetings that are relevant to the company’s interaction with the community and attend to community complaints.
  • Develop and maintain up to date data bases for land use and settlements on Mine Surface Rights Areas (MSRA) and ensure that communities and stakeholders understand the company policy towards responsible land use within its surface rights area.
  • Coordinate public disclosure and consultation meetings to keep stakeholders informed on new and developmental projects.
  • Prepare communication materials and other publications for community information dissemination and sensitization
  • Assist in the organization of corporate functions, events and visits to ensure smooth running of events.
  • Timely production of relevant reports.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum Degree or Diploma in development studies, social work, Business administration/economics, community relations/community development, or related sustainable development field.
  • Qualifications in Project Management, Business Management is an added advantage
  • At least 3-5 years of work experience in a similar position
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ESG principles is an added advantage
  • All academic qualification should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
