Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
- Coordinating of emergency medical response and management of occupational illnesses
- Monitoring and controlling utilization of clinic stocks and equipment
- Maintaining good housekeeping by ensuring high standards of cleanliness
- Keeping accurate, concise and complete records of all Clinics activities.
- Submitting statistics as per statutory and company requirements.
- Organizing wellness sensitization programs for the workforce
- Management of mine accidents and illness
- Quick diagnosis and treatment of emergencies
- Responding and commercial treatment to mine related injuries and illnesses on site
- Collaborating with the emergency call centre
- Conducting medical surveillance and follow up on occupational illnesses
- Able to work underground
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Diploma in Nursing.
- Certificate/Diploma in Occupational Health is an added advantage
- Registered with the Nursing Council of Zambia.
- Excellent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
