The Company Seeks the Services of an Engineer Reliability Electrical & Instrumentation x1

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Lead mechanical reliability projects to improve equipment performance and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analyses (RCA) on mechanical failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Perform oil and lubrication analyses to detect and address potential mechanical issues proactively.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the work management process.
  • Prepare and facilitate maintenance reports to support informed management decision-making.
  • Mentor, train, and motivate team members to maintain high performance standards.
  • Foster strong working relationships among team members and ensure discipline within the engineering function.
  • Execute projects aimed at enhancing equipment performance and ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Develop and review PMs for asset compliance and optimum performance.
  • Analyse asset performance data for asset performance optimization.
  • Asset cost analysis with view to optimize cost of asset ownership.
  • Promote and enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and practices across the department.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions, including SLAM (Stop, Look, Assess, and Manage) and MCOM (Mopani Communication) protocols.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Member of EIZ
  • Computer Literate
  • Good Problem-solving skills
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in mining industry
  • All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
