Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Auto-Electrical repair and maintenance of mobile equipment.
  • Perform standard installation, maintenance, and repair activities under detailed guidance, while also troubleshooting basic technical and/or operational problems by applying previously defined matching solutions.
  • Install related equipment required for the safe operation of all equipment within area of responsibility.
  • Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery according to maintenance requirements.
  • Attend to defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdowns sheets and over inspection reports.
  • Report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Auto Electrical Foreman.
  • Ensure availability of machinery.Identify spares requiremen
  • ts and order according to department procedures.
  • Compile of checklists or work sheets for submission to the Supervisor.
  • Adhere to established Safety Regulations and Procedures during work.
  • Ensure tools are clean and kept in appropriate places after use.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
  • Craft Certificate in Auto Electrical
  • Minimum of 2 years working experience on heavy equipment repair and maintenance
  • Good interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills
  • Have good oral and written communication skills
  • Be registered with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
  • All academic qualifications should be verified by Zambia Qualification Authority
  • Work experience in the mining industry preferably underground will be an add advantage

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
