The Company Seeks the Services of Engineer Planning Senior x2

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Design and model mining methods using computers with Surpac and AutoCAD software.
  • Implement the designed mining methods using computer aided mine planning applications.
  • Undertake investigations into underground production problems, mining methods and equipment.
  • Supervise and control computer hard ware and software.
  • Liaise with other sections in mining department and ensure that correct data is collected.
  • Prepare management, statutory and technical reports.
  • Drive the health, safety and environment standards/policy awareness and practice in the Department to ensure compliance.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
  • Degree/Diploma Mining Engineering.
  • Member of EIZ & should be registered with ERB.
  • Two (02) years practical underground.
  • Three (03) Years or more Planning Engineer experience.
  • Must have experience in mine planning design software – Surpac, MineSched and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of the Zambian Mining Regulations.
  • All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
