The Company Seeks the Services of a Manager – Finance Corporate Reporting x1

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts for the organisation including reports to the Finance Committee of the Board
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting and planning process with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  • Prepare cash flow management and liquidity information
  • Develop and manage Annual Budget
  • Supervise the production of monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of financial performance against budget & cash flow
  • Develop long-range forecasts and maintain long-range financial plans
  • Develop, maintain and monitor all fundraising and accounting systems and procedures
  • Capturing all pledges, billings and receipts for the recording of all revenue transactions
  • Prepare draft audit accounts with the external appointed Auditor
  • Prepare short and long term financial and managerial reporting
  • Service day to day processing of accounts
  • Reconcile monthly activity, generating year-end reports
  • Manage month and year-end closure procedures.
  • Provide financial management of all projects funded activities and programmes.
  • Work with CFO on budgetary elements of funding applications and bids
  • Maintain archival and financial administrative files
  • Manage payroll, pension scheme, employee benefits and organisational insurance.
  • Manage bank accounts to ensure sufficient liquid funds whilst investing surplus cash
  • Ensure that accounting requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties
  • Oversee management of all operational functions.
  • Contribute to short & long-term organisational planning and strategy.
  • Serve as primary liaison to legal counsel in addressing legal issues
  • Oversee organizational insurance policies.
  • Contribute to the review and update of the Risk Register
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
  • Drive the health, safety and environment standards/policy awareness and practice in the Department to ensure compliance.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Full ACCA or CIMA or CA Zambia or related disciplines
  • Member of ZICA
  • MS Office; including Outlook, Access, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of VAT, tax and other compliance implications
  • Minimum 15 Years’ experience in Financial & Operations Management, strong background in Finance
  • All academic and profession qualification should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority
  • Preferred working experience in one of the major audit firms as a Senior Manager/Directorial level

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
