The Company Seeks the Services of a Fireman x 8
Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Extinguishing fire in the event of firebreaks in buildings and Plant area.
• Using the appropriate firefighting equipment and perform rescue operations.
• Conducting fire drills to ensure a high level of emergency preparedness in departments.
• Promoting fire safety via talks, advice and training sessions.
• Working with security, municipality and ambulance service personnel in an Emergency.
• Checking and Maintaining brigade Vehicles, equipment, Hydrants and water supplies.
• Initiating purchasing requisition as directed by supervisor for fire extinguishers and other required firefighting equipment.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Basic Fire Fighter Course.
• Driving Licence Class C1.
• Self-motivated; takes initiative, organised, dependable, responsible, demonstrate respect towards others, integrity, customer focus.
• All academic and profession qualification should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
