Job Purpose
The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:
• Selecting the correct tools and paints for projects.
• Completing minor repairs and selecting correct paints.
• Preparing surfaces for painting, which includes removing old paint, filling holes and washing walls.
• Mixing, matching, and applying paints and other finishes using brushes, rollers or sprayers.
• Using ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including cleaning brushes, rollers, and other equipment.
• Stencil preparation and sign writing will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in scaffolding will be an added advantage.
To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Experience in painting residential or commercial spaces.
• All academic and professional qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.
• Must be physically fit and with the necessary dexterity to work with tools and equipment.
• Good oral & written Communication Skills.
• Holder of a valid First Aid Certificate will be an added advantage.
• Certificate in painting and sign writing will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and Corporate objectives.
