The Company Seeks the Services of a Plastic Welder x1

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Drilling, cutting, shaping, and form plastic products.
  • Interpreting from engineering drawings and knowledge of the plant, tools and measuring equipment necessary to carry out work.
  • Ensuring that equipment, tools and work areas are clean and tidy after use in order to work efficiency and safety.
  • Laying out sheet plastic, fiberglass, or other materials, and operating plastic presses.
  • Adhering to Statutory and Domestic Regulations in particular those relating to the Safe Work Procedures in order to minimize injury to personnel, polluting the environment and damage to company assets.
  • Receiving instructions from the Foreman or Supervisor and plan work accordingly to ensure tasks are timely completed to the required standard.
  • Carry out maintenance and rehabilitation of electro- refining pipes and all associated equipment.
  • Utilizing resources available to ensure work is completed to set standards and within the budget.
  • Ensuring total completion of all relevant documents to enable effective information transfer from Foreman/Supervisor to Management (job cards, checklists, etc.).
  • Adhering to all other assignments that are given that are lawful and fair.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Craft Certificate in Plastic Welding.
  • Technician Certificate in Plastic Welding will be an added advantage.
  • Member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ).
  • Must be physically fit and with necessary dexterity to work with tools.
  • Good oral & written Communication Skills.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
