The Company Seeks the Services of a Project Controller x3

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Assisting in the creation and maintenance of project budgets, including forecasting future costs and potential variances
  • Monitoring project expenses, tracking spending against the budget, and identifying potential cost overruns.
  • Preparing regular project status reports, including age variance analysis, to track project performance.
  • Supporting the senior project controller in tracking project timelines, identifying potential schedule delays, and assisting in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Assisting in identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, including financial risks.
  • Maintaining communication with project stakeholders regarding financial and schedule updates.
  • Ensuring that all financial activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Assisting in the coordination of project activities to ensure they align with financial and scheduling requirements.
  • Collecting and analyzing data related to project costs, revenues, and other financial metrics.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of project control processes and procedures.
  • Preparing projects files and updating data
  • Ensure the correct development of subordinates through any necessary on the job training.
  • Drive the health, safety and environment standards/policy awareness and practice in the Department to ensure compliance.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 School Certificate
  • Degree/Diploma in any Engineering related fields.
  • A study in Project Management is added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Project Management.
  • Member of EIZ or ERB.
  • 3 Years work experience in mining.
  • Good Problem-solving skills.
  • Operations management team building and a good organizer
  • All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
