Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

  • Takes samples in designated location as requested by geologists through the section sampler.
  • Ensures that core brought by drillers is correctly packed, and labelled samples are dispatched to Analytical Laboratory.
  • Ensures coarse rejects are handled as per instructions.
  • Maintains updated records of drill hole and chip samples showing assay requests and results.
  • Liaises with sectional sampler on future sampling project requirements in the section.
  • Drive the health, safety and environment standards/policy awareness and practice in the department to ensure compliance

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Grade 12 certificate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good Interpersonal skills.
  • Must have high ethical standards.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
