The Company Seeks the Services of a Shaft Specialist x1

Job Purpose

The Responsibilities of this role will include but not limited to the following:

• Developing and implementing maintenance schedules for shaft steel infrastructure.
• To develops shaft scrolls that ensure timely repairs to minimize downtime.
• Overseeing the condition of shaft equipment, or replacements, and managing inventory of spare parts.
• Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
• Managing budgets for shaft maintenance and implementing cost-effective solutions.
• Identifying opportunities to improve shaft efficiency, reliability, and sustainability through the adoption of new technologies or processes.
• Working with other departments, such as operations and engineering, to optimize shaft performance and ensure smooth production.

To be considered for this position, the candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Deep Shaft Maintenance
• Significant experience in underground mining, with specific expertise in shaft steel systems, including winders.
• Operations management team building and a good organizer
• Should have at least Ten (10) Years’ working experience.
• All academic qualifications should be verified and certified by Zambia Qualifications Authority.

The successful candidate must be result oriented and have the ability to work with own initiative, ability to understand scope of work, paying particular attention to Company policies and corporate objectives.
