NKANA SECURITY AND MUFULIRA MINING ARE THE 2023 INTERDEPARTMENTAL FIRST AID COMPETITION CHAMPIONS

NKANA Security and Mufulira’s Mining Team B are the winners of the 2023 Inter-Departmental First Aid Competition held Nkana and Mufulira mine sites, respectively.

At the competition held at Nkana Stadium, the Security Team emerged winners with 539 points beating eight other teams.

Contractors Reliant Mining were the runners-up with 512 points while Nkana Engineering and SOB teams took the third and fourth positions, respectively.

At the competition held at Mufulira Leopards Rugby Club, the Mining Team B emerged winners with 422 points after beating eight other teams. The Refinery team were the runners-up with 415.5 points while MCM Security and Smelter teams took the third and fourth positions, respectively.

This year’s Inter-Departmental First Aid Competition was held under the theme: “Learn First Aid, you never know when you need it”. The Nkana mine site competition was held on July 8, while at Mufulira on July 15, 2023.
