MOPANI DONATES A THOUSAND VIALS OF DOG RABIES VACCINES

Mopani Copper Mines PLC has donated 1,000 vials of dog rabies vaccine to Mufulira District Fisheries and Livestock’s Veterinary Department.

The donation was handed over by Manager Corporate Affairs, Ms. Lorraine Tembo, who said “we remain fully committed to ensuring the safety and health of our communities in both Kitwe and Mufulira, where we operate. This donation, therefore, is a demonstration of our commitment to the cause.”

Mufulira District Fisheries and Livestock Coordinating Officer, Mr. Wamulume Mebelo, received the donation on behalf of the Veterinary Department and said it would go a long way in strengthening the Department’s capacity to curb the problem of rabies, which accounted for up to 100 deaths in the country every year.
