…As its Technical Advisor Mine Rescue receives an Excellence Award Mopani Copper Mines Plc has scooped two awards at the Zambia Chamber of Mines (ZCM) Mining Awards Gala for the year 2021 recently held at Ndola’s Protea Hotel. Mopani scooped the Best Performer in Social Investment for the Year 2021 and also secured the Mining Personality of the Year Award through its Operations Manager-Nkana Processing Plants, Cyril Muyoba who beat seven other contestants from other mines.

Contractors Reliant Mining are the winners of the 2022 Nkana Interdepartmental First Aid Competition held on September 10, 2022, in Kitwe. At the competition held at Nkana Stadium, the Reliant team emerged winners with 523 points beating six other teams.

Mufulira Mining Department are the winners of the 2022 Interdepartmental First Aid Competition held on September 3, 2022. At the competition held at Mufulira Golf Club, the Mining team emerged winners with 368 points after beating five other teams.

Mopani Copper Mines PLC’s parent Company, ZCCM-IH, has bagged two first prizes at the just ended 94th Zambia Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka.
